Our Service facility is equipped with 18 state of the art maintenance bays which include; (2) truck wash bays, (6) tractor/trailer drive through mechanical bays, (1) front end alignment bay, and (2) welding drive through bays which include frame alignment tooling and overhead lifts and (1) Quality Control bay. Our service department manages a few fleets locally owned and operated as well as other customer supported work. In addition, it is responsible for our sales department we provide updating and doing pre- maintenance items and repair to include warranty work for our customers. Our Service facility is open Monday through Saturday 7:30am to 4:30pm
Diagnoses mechanical problems, repairs and rebuilds equipment; checks and schedules work with other departments; orders parts as needed; welding a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnoses mechanical problems; repairs and rebuilds Class 8 Tractor and Trailers, Class B Tow Trucks, Car haulers, and various other types of equipment, etc.
Diagnoses problems and repairs brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps and electrical problems.
Performs predelivery inspections and scheduled maintenance
Must have Own Tools
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years work experience as a heavy haul mechanic. Should have ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs. NOT REQUIRED, BUT PREFERRED. CAT, Detroit, and/or Cummins certified. Good Driving Record is required
Top pay for class A, class B and class C mechanics will be discussed through the interview process, our pay scale ranges from $36 an hour to $16 an hour depending on the class of mechanic in which you fall into.
