AUGUST 18th SHOW & SHINE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. No purchase necessary.
  2. Categories: (Trucks will be categorized by the chassis GVW) All trucks entered must be currently working trucks. For entries from states requiring registration, your trucks must be currently registered as working wreckers, tow trucks, car haulers, or heavy duty trucks.
    1. Wrecker and Rollback Division will include: Light duty tow truck: (10,000-17,500 lbs GVW); Medium Duty Tow Truck (Min Gross Axle Weight 17,501 lbs., max towing/recovery unit 24tons, max engine up to 10 liter); Heavy Duty Tow Truck (Min Gross Axle weight Rating 35,000 lbs., min towing/recovery unit 25 tons, min 10 liter factory installed engine, air brake equipped);
    2. Car Carrier (Any Class) will include any trucks with or without daycabs; trucks with or without head racks and include 5 packs in category; trailers include all Hi Mounts, Stingers. No 3 to 4 car haulers will be considered.
    3. All other Tractor/Trailer Combo’s: include all types of working class trucks and trailers.
  3. Not Required but Requested: Please submit a 3x5 or 4x6 color print photograph of your vehicle with an official entry form (or copy of a form) designating which category you are entering. Please insure entry meets the following specs: A completed entry form with each entry. No polaroids accepted. Horizontal shots preferred. Photos may not be stapled, glued, taped, or mounted to anything. Only one truck per photo. No people in photos, please.
  4. Mail the Official Entry Form to “2007 Show and Shine” East Coast Truck and Trailer Sales, 2906 Elmhurst Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23701 with photo (if available). Overnight deliveries can be sent to same address. Submission of entry forms and upload of photo’s can be done on our website at www.ectts.com. (Photo not required). Entry forms may also be faxed to: 757-292-2020 and photos emailed to stacey@ectts.com. (photo not required). Please make sure to add in subject line of email your truck name and owner information. If no Official Entry Form is available but have a photo then please mail the photo along with your truck category, name, address, home and work phone numbers to the above address. You or your company must own the truck pictured and all proprietary rights to the photo submitted. Proof of ownership may be required. All entries must be received at the stated address by August 16, 2007. Enter as many different trucks as you like. No limit per category. ECTTS reserves the right to re-categorize entries. ECTTS is not responsible for any lost, late, illegible, postage due or misdirected mail. Entries or photos that have been retouched, mutilated, altered, tampered with, or illegible are void. All entries and photos become the property of ECTTS and will not be returned. All entries received after August 16, 2007 will be returned unopened.
  5. Prizes: All categories will receive a trophy. Winnings will be: 1st Place: $500 cash; 2nd Place $300 cash; 3rd Place $200 cash; People’s Choice $150 cash. Best In Show: $1,000 cash. 1st place winners and Best In Show will be advertised in National Publications, such as Truck Paper, Tow Times, Truck Trader, and/or Transportation News. Advertising may not be published for up to 6 months.
  6.  Eligibilty: Contest open to any and all legal resident of the United States or Canada who is 18 years or older and is employed by a company that owns one or more Class 8 trucks in the categories described in paragraph 4 above. By entering or accepting a prize in this contest, winners agree to be bound by these Official Rules and to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. All federal, state, and local taxes are the winners’ responsibility. There will be no prize substitutions, transfers, or cash equivalents and (where legal) publicity release must be executed and returned by winners within 15 days after receipt of the forms, or prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Additionally, individuals pictured in the winning photos, if any, will also be required to sign and return a Publicity Release within 15 days after winner receives the forms. Unless otherwise prohibited, acceptance of  prize constitutes permission to ECTTS to publish winning entries, in whole or in part, in print and electronically, and to use winner’s photo and winner’s name, likeness, and address (city and state) for advertising and publicity purposes for this or similar promotions, without further compensation. Entrants warrant that they have obtained permission for any copyrighted material.

Winners agree to release and hold harmless ECTTS and their directors, officers, employees, attorneys and agents, from any damage, injury, death, loss or other liability that may arise form their acceptance of or use of any prize or participation in this promotion, or from any misuse or malfunction of any prize or award.
  14. Judging of Contest: Entries will be judged by a group of independent judges whose decisions are final and binding in all respects regarding this contest. Winners will be selected on August 18, 2007, in accordance with the following weighted standards: overall appearance (40%), detail of finish (15%), originality of vehicle color and graphics (15%), workmanship (15%), and artwork (15%). In the event of a tie, winner will be determined based upon higher “overall appearance” score.
  15. Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted.
  16. To receive a complete list of winners, send a self addressed, stamped envelope after September 1, 2007, to Show and Shine Winners List, 2906 Elmhurst Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23701.

  18. These rules are subject to change only by mutual agreement in writing by both parties at least 90 prior to their publication.
  19. Location opens at 7am on Saturday, August 18, 2007. All trucks must be ready for show by 1:00 pm. Judging begins at 2pm. Awards will be given at 6:30pm. Detail bays are available on site. Please call to schedule wash or detail of vehicle.
